The finished figure

What the handmade piece is like.

What is a Clay Portrait?

It is a made-to-order clay keepsake shaped around the people, pets and details in your reference photos. Each piece is intended for display or gifting.

Is the figure handmade?

Yes. Our production team shapes and finishes each physical portrait by hand. The AI concept helps plan the look; it is not a 3D-printed finished product.

What sizes can I choose for a person?

Our standard person-figure heights are approximately 14–15 cm, 18 cm, 20 cm and 22 cm. A simple base comes with each standard single-person figure. Standard checkout covers a 14–15 cm person. The larger sizes are available by personal quote before payment.

What sizes can I choose for a pet?

Our standard pet sizes are approximately 6–8 cm, 10 cm and 12 cm. For a standing pet, the measurement is its height; for a lying pet, it may be the length from head to tail.

Does a person figure come with a base?

Yes. Every standard single-person figure comes with a simple stabilizing base at no extra charge. You can ask for white or black, round or square. Decorative scenes and special bases receive an individual quote.

Does the listed height include the base?

The listed size describes the figure itself, not the base. If overall height or a special composition matters to you, request a quote before paying.

Can I order a bust or a head-only figure?

Our usual portraits are full-body figures. If you have a different format in mind, describe it in the special requests box so we can confirm whether it is possible before payment.

Is this a toy?

It is a handmade display piece. Place it on a stable shelf or desk and avoid drops, water, strong pressure and repeated handling.

Is the finished figure fragile?

Small handmade details can be damaged by drops or pressure. Keep the figure on a stable surface and handle it gently when cleaning or moving it.

How should I care for the finished portrait?

Keep it dry and away from heat or strong direct sunlight. Use a soft, dry brush or cloth for light dusting, and avoid soaking or scrubbing the small details.

Photos & likeness

A good reference makes the little details easier to understand.

What kind of photo should I upload?

Choose a sharp, well-lit image showing the face clearly. A front-facing face photo is the best starting point; a full-body photo can show clothing and pose.

How many photos do I need for the AI preview?

Single needs a clear front-facing face photo; a full-body reference is optional. Double needs one face photo for each person. Pet needs a main pet photo, with an optional body reference. Group needs one clear group photo showing everyone you want to include. Follow the photo labels for your selected type. You can discuss additional references for the handmade piece with the studio.

For a step-by-step checklist, read our photo guide for custom clay figurines.

Can I provide more than one photo for the handmade piece?

Yes. Follow the photo requirements for your selected figure type in the AI preview. Tell us about extra views, clothing or pose references when discussing your handmade order. We can arrange to receive additional images when reviewing the design.

Can I send separate outfit, pose or accessory references?

Yes. Explain these details in the special requests box. We may ask you to email extra reference images when we review your order request.

What if my photo is blurry?

You can try the preview, but unclear facial details can affect the concept and handmade likeness. We may ask for a clearer image before confirming production.

Will the figure look exactly like the person?

We work from recognizable features, hairstyle, clothing and expression, while keeping the character of a small handmade portrait. It will not be a photographic replica.

Can you include glasses, facial hair or a distinctive hairstyle?

Usually, yes. Point out the details that matter most and make sure they are visible in your reference photos. We confirm what can be made before production.

Your AI concept

Explore a direction before requesting a handmade piece.

Can I see an image before I order?

Yes. Upload a photo on our free preview page, choose a figure type and review an AI-generated clay-style concept. You can then pay for a standard portrait or request a quote for a group or larger size.

Does making a preview cost anything?

The AI concept is free. For a standard portrait, payment happens on the secure checkout page after you review the total. A group or larger figure is quoted before payment.

Can I try another outfit or pose?

You can select another available style and generate a new concept. Tell us about a specific outfit, pose or color in the special requests box.

Can I download my AI concept?

Yes. Use the Download concept button on the preview page to save the image you like before you leave the page.

Is the AI image a photo of the final product?

No. It is a visual guide for the direction you like. The finished clay figure is shaped by hand, so its proportions, texture, colors and small details can differ.

Can I change my idea after sending the request?

Contact us with your order number as soon as possible. Small adjustments may be possible before handmade production starts; major redesigns after work begins may not be possible.

Will you review my design after I place an order?

Yes. For a standard portrait, pay on our secure checkout page after reviewing the total; our studio then receives and reviews the order details before sculpting begins. For a group or larger custom size, we first confirm the design and price and send a payment link. The AI image remains a guide, not a production photograph.

Will you send a photo of the shaped figure before shipping?

A progress or pre-shipping photo is not provided automatically. If you would like to see the shaped piece, message us on the website or email your order number; we will tell you what is available at that stage.

How will I receive a requested progress photo?

Contact us with your order number. If a photo is available at that stage, our studio can send it to you by email.

Can I ask for a change after seeing a requested progress photo?

Tell us promptly what you would like changed. We will check the stage of production and explain what can still be adjusted, including any effect on timing or price, before proceeding.

Personal touches

Make the piece feel like the person you know.

Can I choose the clothing and pose?

Yes. Choose a starting direction in the preview and describe your preferred clothing, posture and colors when you submit the order request.

Can you add a name, date or small accessory?

Tell us what you would like in the special requests box. An engraved base or extra details may affect the price, so please request a quote for these before choosing standard checkout.

Can you make couples, families, teams or pets?

Yes. We offer starting options for one person, two people and pets. Group portrait dimensions can be customized. Tell us your preferred overall size in the order form; we confirm what is practical and provide an individual quote before payment.

How are people-and-pet combinations priced?

We quote mixed arrangements after reviewing the number of figures, preferred sizes, poses and any shared base or scenery. We confirm the final amount before payment.

Can the figure show a wedding, graduation or work theme?

Often, yes. Outfit references and a short description help us understand the occasion. We will confirm the parts that can be made at this scale.

What about large props or a complete scene?

Complex scenery, accessories and oversized props are quoted after we see your reference photos. Their price depends on size and difficulty, so please describe your idea before payment.

Are there custom requests you cannot make?

Some fine details, complex scenes or poses may not be practical at a small handmade scale. We review unusual ideas and explain any limits before asking you to pay.

Can I use a celebrity or copyrighted character as a reference?

Please only send photos and designs you have permission to use. We may decline a request if the rights to a recognizable person or character are unclear.

Progress, delivery & gifts

Follow the handmade steps and the parcel.

How long until my order arrives?

Your finished portrait usually reaches the delivery address about 15–20 business days after the details and payment are confirmed. Remote destinations, busy periods and carrier delays can take longer.

How can I check the making progress?

After payment, check your email for a private progress link. Our studio updates the stages there, from review and sculpting through dispatch.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Standard worldwide shipping is included in the listed price. Tell us the destination and any important gift date before payment is confirmed.

Will I get a parcel tracking number?

When a carrier tracking link is available after dispatch, we add it to your private progress page.

Can you send the figure to someone else as a gift?

Enter the recipient's delivery details in the order form and note that it is a gift. We can confirm the shipping arrangement before production.

How is the figure packed?

We use protective packaging suitable for a handmade display piece. If you have a particular gift presentation in mind, ask before paying so we can confirm what is available.

Can I request a gift box, card or no price slip?

Mention any gift packaging or paperwork request before payment. We will confirm what we can provide for your destination and order.

Changes, care & privacy

How we handle questions after you submit.

Can I cancel or return a personalized order?

Contact us quickly if you need to change or cancel before production starts. Once a personalized piece is in production, change-of-mind cancellations and returns are generally unavailable. Your rights under applicable consumer law still apply; read our order policy for details.

What if my figure arrives damaged or faulty?

Email us promptly with your order number and clear photos of the figure and packaging. We will assess the issue and explain the appropriate next step under our order policy and applicable law.

What if I am unhappy with the finished result?

Contact us with your order number and photos, and explain the concern. We will review it against the details confirmed before production and respond under our order policy and applicable consumer law.

What if tracking stops updating or the parcel appears lost?

Send us your order number and the latest tracking information. We will investigate with the carrier and update you on the next step.

I entered the wrong delivery address. What should I do?

Contact us immediately with your order number and correct address. We can update it before dispatch; a change after the parcel ships may not be possible.

How are my photos used?

We use your submitted photos to create the AI concept and, if you request a handmade order, to plan and make the figure. We do not add customer photos to the public gallery without permission.

When are order photos deleted?

Reference photos and the AI concept are removed from active order storage when the finished piece is marked ready to ship. Backup copies expire on the seven-day rotation described in our privacy policy.

How do I reach the studio?

Use the message button on this website or email [email protected]. Include your order number when asking about an existing order.
